Description
An in depth look at the skills this test will accomplish:
Solving Complex problems
- Description: Complex problem solving involves breaking down a problem into manageable parts and then analysing each part to determine how they are connected. It also involves understanding the implications of potential solutions, considering the consequences of any action, and evaluating the effectiveness of each solution
- Leading Game: Move-It.
Move-It is a puzzle game. In the game, the player is presented with challenges of increasing difficulty and must identify the set of moves that will lead to a solution. Despite the simple rules of the game, the levels of the game are challenging and stimulate thinking about how to solve problems. The game is characterized by having one central factor that we must find to reach a solution. We call this factor the Core of the Problem.
Logical Thinking
- Description: Logical thinking is a cognitive process that involves analysing a situation or problem using reason and coming up with potential solutions. Logical thinkers gather all the available information they can, assess the facts, and then methodically decide on the most effective way to move forward.
Logical thinking is an important skill in many fields, including science, engineering, law, and business. It involves being able to break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable parts, and then analysing each part systematically to understand the whole.
One of the key elements of logical thinking is the ability to identify and evaluate assumptions. This involves examining the underlying assumptions that are being made about a situation or problem, and assessing whether they are reasonable and well-supported by evidence. - Leading Game: Move-It.

Dealing with Time Pressure
- Description: Dealing with time pressure is the ability to manage one’s time effectively when faced with deadlines or limited time to complete a task. It involves being able to prioritize tasks, make efficient use of available time, and avoid procrastination or distraction.
- Leading Game: MaxIt.
MaxIt is a two-player strategy game played on an 8×8 square board. The board is randomly filled with numbers and a star is placed on one of the squares. One player plays in the rows and the other in the columns. The objective of the game is to collect more points than the opponent by selecting squares that maximize the sum of their numbers. However, players must also anticipate and adapt to a constantly changing board, adding a layer of complexity to the game that requires planning and strategy.
